
Namieta Janssen MD
Board Certified Rheumatologist
Dr. Janssen grew up in the Houston area and is pleased to call Houston home. She attended the University of Texas as an undergraduate, and then graduated with honors from Baylor College of Medicine. She went on to complete her internship, residency, Chief Residency, and fellowship in Rheumatology at Baylor College of Medicine. She joined the faculty at Baylor and served as Chief of Rheumatology at Ben Taub General Hospital for 11 years, and was honored with numerous teaching awards while there. In 2006, she began a private practice while continuing to teach and lecture at Baylor. She is currently Clinical Associate Professor at Baylor College of Medicine. She is active in clinical trials at Houston Institute for Clinical Research, and Principal Investigator in several ongoing large clinical trials.
Dr. Janssen is an active member of the Board of Directors of the Lupus Foundation and Gulf Coast Chapter; the Arthritis Foundation Community Leadership Board. She is board certified in Rheumatology and a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology.
Dr. Janssen aims to provide comprehensive, state of the art, and compassionate care to each patient.
